“Olla Común” is an exhibition presented by the Peruvian-American artist Héctor Portocarrero, who shows in his work his perception of the Peruvian reality during his return trip to Peru after four years.

The encounter with an impetuous fight against the relentless Covid-19 pandemic and the arduous effort of the people to survive the subsequent crisis, are the decisive factors that influence his work and that he uses to express aesthetically in his range and range of style of drawing, painting and manual work.

“Olla Común” is a presentation dedicated to the local artist and with gratitude to the warm Chalaco people. Héctor Portocarrero graduated as an illustrator from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, class of 2014, and currently works as an illustrator, muralist and art instructor in Florida, United States.
